Organ Donation

Organ and tissue donations provide new hope to seriously ill or injured fellow human beings and their families. Calvert Memorial Hospital participates with the Living Legacy Foundation to manage organ and tissue donations. If you would like more information about becoming an organ or tissue donor, you can call 1-800-641-HERO.

If you already have a donor card, your organs or tissue cannot be donated without the permission of your next of kin. When considering organ donation, the most important step is a family discussion so that family members are fully informed and aware of each other's decision.
